While most people are returning from the holiday season after celebrating the beginning of a new year, Girish Agrawal is currently in Argentina climbing Mt. Aconcagua, the highest mountain outside of Asia!
At 6,960m, Mt. Aconcagua is the second tallest mountain of the Seven Summits, the highest mountain peaks of each of the seven continents. This is the second peak of the Seven Summits that he has chosen to climb; in 2016, Girish summited Mt. Kilimanjaro as a personal challenge and to raise money and awareness for improving sanitation in Indian schools.
Weather permitting, Girish hopes to summit the mountain Jan. 14. You can track his progress, see frequently updated photos, and read his blog at www.summitfordignity.ca.
Dec. 26 - Dec. 29
AGirish's satellite phone has allowed him to send back daily updates on his progress, but he can't send back photos except at certain base camps with wifi. Here are a few of the shots he's sent back. You can see photos more at www.summitfordignity.ca.
